ICIF China is one of the leading fairs for the entire chemical industry with all related fields of the process technology in the Shanghai area. The next show is scheduled from 23-25 April 2008 at the Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre, Shanghai. In April 2006 the show – running for the second time in Shanghai after six successful events in Beijing – attracted 13640 trade visitors. It covered some 23.000 sqm of exhibition area with more than 800 exhibitors – about one tenth coming from abroad.
Although ICIF China is focusing on chemical products, most international and numerous Chinese exhibitors display process technology. Altogether 133 companies were listed in the category “Chemical Equipment & Engineering”.
Since China and especially the Shanghai area is one of the most important markets for German process technology the VDMA Process Plant and Equipment Branch applied successfully for government support for a German pavilion at ICIF China 2008.
